How Tank Trucks Helps the Automotive Industry Keep Running

With the automotive industry, people in that profession are used to seeing vehicles moving around frequently. What’s seen less often is the gleaming silver-hued or red metal trucks, either as small-sized trucks or big rigs, bringing in liquid supplies or helping to dispose of different types of waste product that could build up if not removed on a regular basis.

Here are a few ways that tank trucks provide useful solutions in the automotive field.

Septic Trucks

The septic tank may come with support for 1,500 gallons or a larger 2,200 gallons on the bigger rigs. These satellite septic trucks can connect to the outlet pipe of a septic tank made from concrete or another material. This tank receives flow directly from the sewer at the facility and allows the waste time to separate from the water (with the waste settling on the bottom after this process). With the solids separated away from the liquids, the waste is less likely to cause any blockages in pipes or facilities.

The septic trucks have powerful hydraulic pumps that can extract what’s stored in the septic tank and deposit it into the onboard tank on the truck. From there, the truck can transport the waste out to a reprocessing facility where the waste product can be cleaned properly before safe deposal in a designated area.

Chemical Sanitation Delivery System

Some septic tank trucks also come with a separate chemical feed facility that runs alongside their tanking process to selectively feed chemicals inside the septic tank after it’s been pumped out. The delivery system provides greater sanitation with a reduction of bacteria and other unwanted contaminants. Otherwise, the contaminants would stay and multiply inside the septic tank which could travel back up the inflow pipe into the facility causing bigger problems for personnel ill-equipped to handle it.

It’s a good idea to check with the company providing the truck or the septic tanking service whether they have the ability to supply a chemical sanitation service too. Not using a strong chemical to deal with disinfecting waste areas grows into a large issue over time which is more difficult to handle later, so it’s best dealt with on a semi-regular basis.

Gasoline Supply

Some trucks can supply gasoline to the automotive facility to avoid them needing to take the vehicles on the open road to fill them up. Whether it’s just a case of driving new vehicles out on the car sale lot and later back inside the showroom facility or to store them elsewhere, gasoline is still used here and there. Having a gasoline storage facility on-site and the ability to tank off a gasoline supply truck has its uses within the auto car industry too.

There are many ways that different types of pumper trucks are used within the auto industry. Whether taking out waste product at toilet facilities on-site for cleaning and disposal off-site, sanitizing the septic tank or bringing in fuel, there is a specialized tank truck waiting to provide a useful service to busy auto facilities that need it.
